Hi guys... been a long time.
Ive been putting it off for the last 3 years but it's about time I started working on my car again (before my 20 month old daughter is old enough to drive it )
Two immediate things I need; front axels and an LSD. I have been "out" of the scene for quite a while so I need some good suggestions and I have always been able to trust the folks on this board (you too Jim ).
Here are the one's I am looking at... tell me what you think.
LSD: One that is good for both street and Strip. Looked @ Quiafe, Kaaz, OBX and Phantongrip (what the heck is up with this thing?)
Axels: Stage 1 or 2 from driveshaftshop.com.
Opinions and experiences?
Thanks for your help,
Allan

Quaiffe for sure!!! As far as the axles go I have always been reluctant to put in anything too strong since I would rather break an axle than shatter a gear in the tranny or break a diff. You can swap an axle in a short time...though a broken gear or diff and your are screwed!
If you still want to get some upgraded axles I have only heard great things about Gator Axles

I second the Quaife. Best thing I ever did to the car besides the supercharger. Absolutely trouble free, no maintenance and performed great.

Quaife for the diff... no question.
Axles: Not necessary, but if you feel the need to upgrade, then you can pick just about ANY of them out there. Everyone CLAIMS to have a stronger axle than stock... however, my experience has been that you must change the design to really increase the axles' strength. This means a LARGER outer spline (like the Prelude or Accord) and hub assembly as well as a planetary inner joint (like those found on the Moroso/Comp Engineering products which cost nearly $4000.00 per pair).
Glad to hear you are tinkering with the car again. You better come and visit soon.
One more thing (totally irrelivant subject): How about giving me a call in the next day or two... I need to ask you about a personal matter.
Thanks
Jim

Great advice like always.
Jim: My axels are going bad. I just figured since I was going to replace them I mine as well upgrade. I'll give you a buzz sometime tommorow.
I figured everyone would agree on the Quaife.
